Psychords sind Violet Burns (Gesang und Gitarre), Gio Highlander (Bass und Backing Vocals) und Claudia Lo (Schlagzeug), eine All Girls-Punkband aus Mailand. Das angesagte Power-Trio entstand im Mai 2014 aus der 2011 gegründeten Band 5 Elements, und begann sofort, an eigenen Songs zu arbeiten, stark inspiriert von der ersten Punkrockwelle. Im November 2014 veröffentlichten die Psychords ihr erstes Video “I wanna live like Joey Ramone” und ein paar Monate später nahmen sie ihre erste EP “Psychords” auf, die im November 2015 über das englische Headcheck Records-Label herauskam. Somit hatte die Band im Vereinigten Königreich Fuß gefasst und es folgte 2016 eine Tour, bei der sie unter anderem auf dem bekannten “The Unicorn Camden Live” in London und dem Rebellion Festival in Blackpool auftraten. Erwähnung finden sollten auch die in dieser Zeit stattgefundenen Teilnahmen an zwei “Strummer Calling”-Festivals (Estathè Market Sound, Milan Rugby Festival) zum Gedenken an den beliebten Joe Strummer. Zur selben Zeit entschloss sich das Outloud! Records Label, die EP in den USA herauszubringen. Im Herbst 2017 haben die drei Rrriot Grrls nun, vorangekündigt durch ihre beiden Singles/Videos “Save my Sanity” und “Slave”, ihr “Live im Studio”-Album “Save my Sanity” veröffentlicht, Zuerst nur exklusiv auf dem Rebellion-Festival 2017 in Blackpool angeboten, wird es die Musik der Psychords nun auch in ganz Europa verbreiten….

Psychords are Violet Burns (vocals and guitar), Gio Highlander (bass guitar and backing vocals) and Claudia Lo (drums), an all-female punk rock band from Milan. The current power trio emerged in May of 2014 from the previous 5 elements band, founded in 2011 and immediately started working on their own songs, strongly inspired by the first punk rock wave. In November 2014, Psychords released their first video, “I wanna live like Joey Ramone” and after few months they recorded their first EP, “Psychords”, released in November 2015 with the English label Headcheck Records. The EP launched the band in the UK, with a tour in 2016 that made them play also at the popular venue “The Unicorn Camden Live” in London and at the Rebellion Festival. To be mentioned in the same months the participation to two “Strummer Calling” festivals (Estathè Market Sound, Milan Rugby Festival), in memory of the beloved Joe Strummer. At the same time, the Outloud! Records label decided to deal out their EP in the US.

In fall 2017, the three riot girls are back with their new ‘live in studio’ album “Save My Sanity” anticipated by the singles and videos “Save My Sanity” and “Slave”. Launched in exclusive preview for the UK during the Rebellion Festival 2017 (Blackpool) on August 4^th, it is bringing the Psychords’ music all over Europe.
